Retro Side Bun by SkirtedFancy

Hello my lovely ladies and gents, I hope everyone is having a wonderful & relaxing weekend. As I dog sit for my brother (& deal with a gassy pitbull, ugh.), I thought of taking time to share a great person/inspiration that I found on Instagram (initially) then on Youtube.  Since the weather is really heating up in South Carolina, the hair-down-do's just do not cut it with our weather changes. Now, thanks to SkirtedFancy's channel, she does hair tutorials for females with really long hair. If you're anything familiar with long hair, you'll know it's a hassle sometimes regardless of it's beauty aspect.  So ladies, please enjoy this tutorial which is AMAZING for the summer time.  Also feel free to search her on Instagram and Youtube. She also has a GREAT sense of fashion. ;)  Please let us know if this tutorial helped some of you ladies. If you don't get it the first time, practice makes PERFECT! lol.  @SkirtedFancy on Instagr...

Magic Wand

Hello lovely people, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday! :) I wanted to dedicate this post to all of the ladies who want to obtain beautifully curled hair with a wand...I call this the MAGIC WAND! It really does miracles. lol. Here are a few examples of the how the curls turn out with the wand:  My beautiful sister with freshly made curls. If you have been a regular reader, you'll remember the lovely bride-to-be Neyla. (also freshly made curls) & last but not least yours truly...I curled my hair the day before and this is how they came out the next day. (My hair has never stayed curled more than 2 hours!) So how did we achieve such tight curls???? No worries, I'm here to help! ;) These are the supplies you will need (or some sort of generic version of them): 1. The Conair Wand (I purchased this for like $19 at Walmart, but I think they are now about $32.) 2. Dove Hairspray (which smells AMAZING!) approxi...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...

Happy Fourth of July! :)

Happy Fourth of July lovely readers! I am excited to be in Charleston right now with Lucas and Betsey Johnson! It has been an eventful day! Unfortunately, fireworks have been canceled for tonight due to our RAINY weather. ugh! At any rate, I met a few people, spent the day with a close friend, and enjoyed my favorite "college" place in Charleston as well as topping it off with yummy frozen yogurt (although, it was sooooo hot that it melted WAY to quickly). LOL. So we were on our way to the bowling alley, when I discovered some babies in my friend's car. They were non-prescription glasses! I was confused at first, because I could never remember if he wore glasses before, when I asked he informed me they were for fashion purposes only. OH, excuse me! lol. So I tried them on, and I declared them as my own. lol. They are mine. He just doesn't know it yet. hahaha & of course, I had to top it off with the red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July. I hope...

No Purchase Necessary! ;)

Hello loves! I know we haven't posted in a few days, but no worries we're back! :) Well, I'm getting ready to head out to Puerto Rico, where I will definitely be paying close attention to heels and other stores that might be of our interest, but I'm also getting ready to attend many events. So, I decided to keep looking for simple yet adorable hairstyles. There are many tutorial videos on YouTube, but I came across this website that really explains in detail how to make simple hairstyles. I fell in love with them, and it will always take some practice to get them to look perfect. LOL. However, I hope you all enjoy this website as much as I did. There are tons of pictures for every step and instructions on the bottom, just in case you're more of a reader than a visual learner. ;) (not my case at all hahahaha) & guess what? IT'S TOTALLY FREE! :) Not much of a better deal than that! Feel free to explore the site! :) <3 Have a blessed day! Love, D ...

Hairstyles!

To all of our beautiful readers, Happy Thursday! I can't want until Friday! Upon request, I wanted to talk about hair. Ok, if you're pentecostal/apostolic you probably have really long hair. However, I do realize that is not the case for all pentecostal/apostolic females. Most of the hairstyles I will post might have long hair in them, but I'm sure it could be done on short/medium length hair and look just as gorgeous! :) Personally, I have long hair thick hair, so it takes awhile for me to straighten, curl, or do anything to my hair, but I've found other ways to improvise. LOL. I was watching YouTube videos on long hairstyles, and I found this one that I really liked. I am not sure how well it would come out on me, but I'm willing to try! ;) YouTube is a great way to find many hairstyles for long hair and how to make them. Often, I see a picture of a beautiful hairstyle with no instructions, then I'm super bummed. lol. This style would be great for a sp...
