Baby Bump Transformation

Hi my lovelies, I know...don't kill me. Life has just been happening right now. LOL. I promise I have some news...I just have a wait a little longer to share it. However, I have not forgotten you my loves. A few months ago, I did a mini-makeover/photo shoot for one of my co-workers, who was pregnant at the time. This was my first time doing a photo shoot for someone other than my family (no shade, I love when my family models). She was such a pleasure to work with, and she did an amazing job working her makeover. ;) I have seen a lot of pregnant ladies on Facebook and other social media sites, so I wanted to give you a bit of inspiration to spice it up even in the midst of your pregnancy! BEFORE: AFTER: I mean, come on, she look adorable with her baby bump. I just really enjoyed pampering her for just a little bit. ;) Ladies, this is when you have that special glow, so make it work!  By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of my readers and supporters. Y...

Traffic Sandals

Hello wonderful readers!  Great post from the other "D"! ;) I definitely need to get my workout on as well! Lol. If you're like me, you've come to a point in your life where you love the idea of a workout...but just the idea. Lol just kidding, it's always good to be healthy. I always say, you can never help others if you can't help yourself. We should all strive to be healthy! I also own puma sneakers and I wouldn't trade them for the world! ;)  At any rate, I wanted to share a store that I have learned to love from Puerto Rico. It's called Traffic and I believe they have stores in the US as well. Puerto Rico was my first encounter with this store. My first year I bought coral sneakers that flipped out at the top and are super comfy! Well, this year I went back by and fell in love with these sandals.  If you know me well, you know that I love heels, but I'm a sucker for cute sandals. I am from the south so sandals are something we use ...

I'm in LOVE with...KIMONOS!

Hello my loves, At this point...life just seems to keep happening. HEHEHE. On top of moving, I've been trying to housetrain/welcome two new Great Pyrenees puppies into our home! Talk about NO SLEEP or TIME! lol.  It's ok. Milo and Chloe are just too cute that it's all worth it. I can't wait until they are gorgeous and fully grown! Anyways, onto what's more important that cute puppies...FASHION! lol. Ok, so I have a new obsession with KIMONOS. No not the Japanese raincoats...hahahaha. They are kind of like a shawl (according to one of my guy friends) but better. I had seen several fashion bloggers mention them before, but I wasn't into the look...UNTIL...Florida happened. LOL. I was shopping in Florida, and I tried some on. I fell in love instantly!!! It was the perfect look and solution to 1% of my problems as a modest dresser. So ladies, you know how you pick out a skirt (that perfect pencil/bodycon skirt) & you just can't bring your...

Magic Wand

Hello lovely people, I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday! :) I wanted to dedicate this post to all of the ladies who want to obtain beautifully curled hair with a wand...I call this the MAGIC WAND! It really does miracles. lol. Here are a few examples of the how the curls turn out with the wand:  My beautiful sister with freshly made curls. If you have been a regular reader, you'll remember the lovely bride-to-be Neyla. (also freshly made curls) & last but not least yours truly...I curled my hair the day before and this is how they came out the next day. (My hair has never stayed curled more than 2 hours!) So how did we achieve such tight curls???? No worries, I'm here to help! ;) These are the supplies you will need (or some sort of generic version of them): 1. The Conair Wand (I purchased this for like $19 at Walmart, but I think they are now about $32.) 2. Dove Hairspray (which smells AMAZING!) approxi...

Shoedazzle Review! Shoes have arrived!

Hello lovely people, You will have so much fun with this post today. lol. I hope all of you are having a wonderful week. I'm still dealing with headaches...& I think it's about that time to visit a doctor. Anyway, about 2 weeks ago, I informed some of you through our Facebook page about the sale going on at Shoedazzle.com. You know me...I'm always up for a good deal. So, I took part of this Shoedazzle buy 1 bootie, get a shoe for free. I purchased a black bootie, which I love... except the toe looks funny. I thought it was more round toe shaped but it's actually kind of pointy. I have no problem with pointy, so I'm fine with it. They were full price when I purchased them, now they are half price, and they have a beautiful maroon color. If you're interested, visit SHOEDAZZLE! Btw, their shoes have a freshly made smell when you buy them from Shoedazzle, I loved it!!! LOL, yes I'm weird like that...Anyway, here they are: (Sorry about the small pics, b...

Apple, Pear, Hour Glass???

Hello wonderful readers! You girls & guys are truly the highlight of my days. :) This post will be mainly for women, but I believe it's important for males to know HOW to shop for their ladies not just WHAT to shop for. Today I want to focus on figuring out your body type, so that you or your very lucky man will know what to look for when you go shopping. I've actually had this topic on the back burner for a few weeks now. I had a friend text me and ask me about the best dress to wear for her birthday. So, my sister and I got into a long discussion about body types! lol. BUT, that's when I realized...I didn't really know my own body shape. It's fairly easy for me to see what will or will not work for different bodies, except my own. LOL. So, I asked my younger brother to look at a picture that showed all body types and asked him to tell me how my body looked to him. Secretly, we all wish we looked like an hour glass hehehehe...but he said a PEAR. lol. How ...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...

Love Culture Jersey Maxi Dress REVIEW!

Hello my lovely peeps! Hope you all are doing great on this wonderful day!  I have a list of things that I want to blog about...I'm just very restricted on time. gahhhhh! lol. Anyway, I wanted to give a review of the following Jersey Maxi Dress from Love Culture. now, $12.95 I actually purchased this dress in black a few months ago. I must say...it was definitely worth it! I love this dress. The only con, that I can think of, is the material used to make this dress. It is very thin so you can see EVERYTHING & I do mean EVERYTHING! lol.  I have to definitely alter what I use with this dress to make it a little more modest for my taste. (If you would like to know my tricks just email us at ddspurebliss@gmail.com & I'll be happy to share.) The good part is that it's black so it can also go with just about ANYTHING! :)  It's super comfortable, very light material, length is how it looks in the picture, just overall a very good produc...

An itsy bitsy yellow polka dot...

Hello loves, Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a wonderful day. I completely agree with the second D's opinion on those "trendy" heels. lol. These designs are a mess sometimes. However, I want to focus a little more on trends...more positive I promise! hehehe ;) One day, my sister-in-law sent me a message with a video attached. She thought it would be a great source to share with all of you ladies and gentlemen. I watched it, and I have much respect for this Jessica Ray , who speaks on M-O-D-E-S-T-Y. I know many people may say it's old fashioned, but just take a few minutes to actually listen to the studies performed to prove how modesty does or does not effect the way men think about women. Her words are very powerful. This might actually change some of your minds about modesty. ;) Give it a try, what do you have to lose? Thanks to my sister-in-law for sharing this video with me! (I would start it at 4:20 to get listen to the study.) I reall...

Embellished Spikes = Yikes!

Hello my lovely readers! Today's post is going to be just a little different. I like to keep things positive on our blog, but I really feel I must express my disagreement of a fashion trend. You may not agree with this opinion at all, but I'm ok with "everyone is entitled to their own opinion." I love all aspects of fashion, especially when shopping for my lovely modest ladies. This is why I feel it necessary to really talk about this fashion trend...EMBELLISHED SPIKES on heels (or anything for that matter)! You all know I love heels! In order for me to really dislike a style of heel is difficult, but I must admit this trend is not cute at all. I feel like someone was trying to make 3D art and decided, why don't we do the same with heels...big mistake in my humble opinion. I absolutely dislike these shoes. A heel is meant to add femininity to a woman not thorns. These shoes make it look like she came out of a rosebush and the thorns just stuck to her heels. ...
