Apple, Pear, Hour Glass???

Hello wonderful readers!

You girls & guys are truly the highlight of my days. :) This post will be mainly for women, but I believe it's important for males to know HOW to shop for their ladies not just WHAT to shop for. Today I want to focus on figuring out your body type, so that you or your very lucky man will know what to look for when you go shopping.

I've actually had this topic on the back burner for a few weeks now. I had a friend text me and ask me about the best dress to wear for her birthday. So, my sister and I got into a long discussion about body types! lol. BUT, that's when I realized...I didn't really know my own body shape. It's fairly easy for me to see what will or will not work for different bodies, except my own. LOL. So, I asked my younger brother to look at a picture that showed all body types and asked him to tell me how my body looked to him. Secretly, we all wish we looked like an hour glass hehehehe...but he said a PEAR. lol. How devastating, but I just laughed and embraced it proudly. Never thought I looked like a pear, but oh well now I can know what works best for my own body. ;)

I've researched the best guides to help you with two things.
1) Figure out your body shape.
2) Figure out the best dress for your body.

Also, I'm adding a measuring guide for ladies who purchase skirts online. Never get the wrong length! ;)

Thank you for reading, visiting, and I hope this helps you ladies and gents. :D Have a blessed day!

Love,
D

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
