Simple Hairstyles

Hello Lovely Ladies,  At this point, you can literally be mad at me for being MIA. LOL. I'm so sorry!!! At any rate, I have been in the state of Florida for a few months now & the weather change is a little interesting. I could compare it to South Carolina, but I believe every state has it's own personality. Since my wonderful older sister lives in FL, I've been to her at-home-salon-for-Dayse to get my hair done. hahaha She's definitely a hair person, so I do take advantage of it. She loves it! bahahaha. If you've seen me in person, then you definitely now how much I have loved cornrows on one side of my head. I just LOVE this look. I don't have to do anything too crazy, but it's so edgy. My sister always says, "AGAIN?!" every time I ask her for them. I've worn it both ways - with and without curls.  Another hairstyle that I think it so adorable in general is the half up-do bow. It is so romantic and feminine. I wore this ...

My Sunshine State

Hello Loves, It's me! So sorry for my absence these past few weeks, but, as promised, I have some news for you ladies and gentlemen. No I'm not getting married... no I'm not having a baby... and no I'm not in a relationship. LOL. (single, but not ready to mingle. hahaha) I have moved to FLORIDA!   Yes, some of you guessed it! For those of you who saw my constant trips to Florida, it was only natural for me to be here. HAHAHA. Indigo, you guessed it...I am having a wonderful time getting to know (like, really know) the different areas around me. Orlando is the closest major city to me, and it has been very interesting getting to know new people and new places. Not only am I ready for this move, I am also looking forward to being more present on the blog. I have appreciated all of the support from my readers, and I hope to meet all of those in Florida very soon! If you're wondering about the outfit, since this is a FASHION blog, I already owned the s...

OMG...GOJANE is hooking us up!

OMG, LADIES...have I got good news for you!!! One of my favorite beauty bloggers recently went shoe shopping. I was casually watching her videos like I always do, but this time was different. She was doing a shoe haul. Sometimes, I say they are ok, other times they just don't catch my attention. Honey, when I saw her first pair, I dropped everything. I fell in love & my readers know that when I fall in love, I fall hard. As in...I need them in my life ASAP. Unfortunately, when I went to the site, & they were sold out in my size!!! (I added them to the wishlist of course!) LOL. So, I wanted to share this site with all of my lovely ladies. (yes, that's you!) Here are some samples of only a few of the shoes that I really liked! Oh, & they sell clothes! Let me know what you think, and be sure to check out http://www.gojane.com . Oh, did I mention they are definitely a GREAT price! gah, I love so many of them!!! Help me, Lord. Go get...

Dressed to Refashion

Welcome back loves!  I hope you're making it this Wednesday...does the week seem to be dragging to you? I feel like the weekend/rest can't come soon enough. Today I wanted to focus on a style of fashion that many people fear to dive into...simple yet bold. As much as I love being 'dolled' up, there are days when I just want to be comfortable. LOL. All of us have those moments, if you don't then you might need to take one of those days.  However, I needed it to be simple yet bold. As you see in these picture (thanks to my sister again! ;)), I picked red to be my bold color. Then, I layered it with a leather brown jacket, and some comfortable combat boots. I wanted to give it some what of an edgy/military feel, which came together nicely with the girly dress.   So, ladies, while it's ok for us to have slack days, just keep in mind you can always still make it look cute. You can certainly replace the boots for flats or sandals...

Style of Sophistication

Greetings to all of you lovely gentlemen, While today is not my best day this week, I thought to myself, "what better than show my readers a little love?" & maybe a little bit of an Easter Sunday outfit inspiration.  Although, this was taken before Easter, it can still jog your mind for ideas on putting together a special outfit for that special day! Most of us will be in the house of the Lord, so get your church look on! lol.  Thank you to my little man David and his dad Josh for being models for this post. I also included my sister for the ladies. ;) Two birds with one stone, right? lol.  Let's begin with little David. He's wearing a stripped blazer on top of a plain white button-up shirt and topped with a bow tie. His jean pants dress it down a bit, but not too much. Then he (better yet said...his mommy) finished the look with some navy casual shoes. He was still tons of sophistication, full of spring colors, and comfortable all at the same tim...

Gentlemen: How to wear a SUIT the RIGHT way!

Hello my lovely gentlemen and ladies, You don't understand how long I have been waiting to write this post...WEEKS & WEEKS!! Time just flies by and I can't seem to find the time to blog about it. At any rate, I'm here. :) Time after time I have gone from event to event, and (ok...okay..., I do observe EVERYONE'S outfit) I've seen many many gentlemen/young men wear suits the WRONG way! As a woman, I believe both men and women have to know how to sport whatever they choose to wear. Unfortunately, men don't have a great reputation when it comes to fashion or grooming. This explains why women are so overly impressed when they see a man like this (single ladies, take a moment to just soak in all of the glory!!! LOL, jk.):  Now gentlemen, please take this advice for your constructive purposes. We would not want to offend anyone, but our goal is to make sure our men do not end up looking like this unfortunate guy: So you ask, "D...
