Style of Sophistication

Greetings to all of you lovely gentlemen,

While today is not my best day this week, I thought to myself, "what better than show my readers a little love?" & maybe a little bit of an Easter Sunday outfit inspiration.

Although, this was taken before Easter, it can still jog your mind for ideas on putting together a special outfit for that special day! Most of us will be in the house of the Lord, so get your church look on! lol.

Thank you to my little man David and his dad Josh for being models for this post. I also included my sister for the ladies. ;) Two birds with one stone, right? lol.

Let's begin with little David. He's wearing a stripped blazer on top of a plain white button-up shirt and topped with a bow tie. His jean pants dress it down a bit, but not too much. Then he (better yet said...his mommy) finished the look with some navy casual shoes. He was still tons of sophistication, full of spring colors, and comfortable all at the same time. His little arms might need to grow into his blazer a little more; regardless, he was absolutely adorable!!! (not trying to brag...LOL)

Josh was sporting an Express white sophisticated blazer, a pink button up shirt, khakis, and his white Aldo shoes. (Let's just go ahead and mention the fresh cut as well! hahaha) At any rate, it ran with the same concept of David's outfit. Sophisticated with a bit of spring and a very comfortable look. I would give this a thumbs up!

Finally, let's focus on my sister's outfit...grey blazer with a body-con red dress, a beige/gold belt, and black wedges with a hint of gold detail. Not only did this dress compliment her petite figure, she was able to keep it modest and sophisticated. My favorite pieces of this outfit were the blazer and shoes. Very cute, and as the young ones put it "on fleek." (yes, I feel old.)

Let's give it up for this cute little family with a sense of style of sophistication. Thank you guys for letting me feature you and for being so patient with the "picture-taking."

*** Bloopers: I was trying to take a picture of them, and David (who was giving me a hard time to get a full body shot of him) decided to jump into the picture at the last minute. LOL. Silly little guy...but love him to sooo much!

I hope this helps and gives you all some ideas!!! Happy Shopping and have a great Easter Sunday.
God bless,
Dayse

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
