Gentlemen: How to wear a SUIT the RIGHT way!

Hello my lovely gentlemen and ladies,

You don't understand how long I have been waiting to write this post...WEEKS & WEEKS!! Time just flies by and I can't seem to find the time to blog about it. At any rate, I'm here. :)

Time after time I have gone from event to event, and (ok...okay..., I do observe EVERYONE'S outfit) I've seen many many gentlemen/young men wear suits the WRONG way!

As a woman, I believe both men and women have to know how to sport whatever they choose to wear. Unfortunately, men don't have a great reputation when it comes to fashion or grooming. This explains why women are so overly impressed when they see a man like this (single ladies, take a moment to just soak in all of the glory!!! LOL, jk.):

Now gentlemen, please take this advice for your constructive purposes. We would not want to offend anyone, but our goal is to make sure our men do not end up looking like this unfortunate guy:

So you ask, "D&D, how are we supposed to wear a suit the RIGHT way?" Allow me to introduce you to the ULTIMATE GUIDES for the perfect suit & the perfect look.

#1 MEASURE your BODY!!! Women are NOT the only people who need to do this. You have a body that wants to wear suits that won't strain it or embarrass it. hehehehe.

#2 READ/RESEARCH the different types of suits available to you. You don't have to look like the preacher at church or the guy next to you at a social event. ;) You've got OPTIONS!!!

#3 SHOP & WATCH OUT for signs that tell you whether or not a suit actually FITS you! (The biggest mistake men make is wearing a suit that is TOO BIG or TOO SMALL.) Yes, even you have to let go of your first job interview suit. lol.

***If you find that a suit just doesn't fit perfectly, you can always have it TAILORED. I would recommend tailoring your more pricey suits that you know will last you a bit longer.

#4 UPGRADE your style each time with accessories, new suits, more modern suits, etc. Don't have the same old boring suit in your closet, EXPLORE! It can be scary but so much fun, just give CHANGE a try. You'll see the wonders it will do for you, especially when you get TONS of compliments. ;)

#5 ROCK IT!! Yes, just like this guy right here. LOL.

So, my dear gentlemen, lesson to take from this is....DON'T settle for LESS! Happy Shopping ladies and gentlemen. May God and the love of fashion be with you. ;) Have a blessed day!!!

Love,
Dayse

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...

Quick Lil Tips

Hi! God Bless Everyone! Hope all is well! Remember back a few months when I told you about the uses for Coconut Oil?! Coconut Oil as Face Moisturizer Well, I tried the coconut oil and I tried it on my face as a moisturizer. It works very well with my skin. My skin is oily so I thought my face was going to look like straight up oil BUT it didn't ;) Also, I had a few bumps around my nose/upper lip area because I went and got it waxed along with my eyebrows and chin LOL! Obviously my skin is not made for that so I won't be doing that again...well, I won't be waxing near my nose/lip area... NO NO NO! Because it has anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial functions I decided to try it out around the nose/lip area and guess what? That allergic reaction I had to the waxing is gone :) YAY! I also use a topical cream on my face that dries my skin out but because I use the Coconot Oil on my face, my face doesn't peel anymore! Another thing I noticed about using coconut ...
