Maxi Skirt/Dress

Hello my wonderful blog readers! <3
I am one of the D's ;) from D&D's pure bliss!

Well, I want to explain the outfit below and how I came up with it. So as we all do even before we get out of bed, we start thinking about the countless possibilities in our closets.Yet we make a tornado because nothing seems to fit right Lol.

I call it our female nature. :)

This morning I knew I wanted to wear something comfortable yet girly. I recently purchased maxi skirts from a store called MY STORY, which if you have one near you, go visit!!! & I love these skirts but I didn't want to wear all of them in one week, especially the dame style! Hahahaha, so I started thinking of  making a dress out of it, and I also bought this navy cardigan from Charlotte rousse, which is of the maxi skirt material, then my navy suede heels which I had sitting in my closet for almost a year!!!

This was my chance to sport them out! ;) I had purchased the belt a VERY long time ago hoping to wear it with something cute ONE DAY!

So basically I put together old and new things I had in my closet. I threw it on and ran out of the door...luckily it was a hit at work! I had many compliments! :D self-esteem booster?

I think so! This another reason why you ladies should invest in a maxi skirt, even if its just one! You can pair it with cardigans, blazers, or even wear a full blouse on top, the belt helps to shape the skirt to your figure, otherwise you may have a floppy back and huge tummy! Oh no! Lol thank goodness someone invented belts! ;) let me know what you think! Have a blessed day!
Love,

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
