Nautical Summer Style!

Wohoo, it's Thursday! God Bless girlies! Seeing that it's getting hot, or should I say, HOTTER...I thought it would just be fitting to let you in on my casual summer style. This is similar to what I would wear on the weekends to go out. I have a blouse similar to this one & it's also Ralph Lauren. (I got it at macy's last year for under 20 bucks). The skirt you can find at maurices.com. They are on sale right now @ 19.90 and they should fit right at the knee, if not below the knee. I have been watching the skirt for a while and they have blue, gray, black and khaki. I want all four colors ;) The shoes can be found at charlotterusse.com. They are sooo cute. I know the black & white shoes are crazy looking but if I had them I would def wear them with this outfit ...bahahahaha! Ok, let's get serious girlz! If you're more conservative, than the white sandals would be nice to wear with the blouse and skirt or maybe you could find some brown sandals. Pair the outfit any way you want girl. Just look modest and GOOOD!  A little GOOOD never hurt n.e1. N*E wayz, just wanted to share a little fashion 411 with you!

By the way, I tried the chino skirt and it's right at the knee. It may even b a little above so, I will not b buying them :( sad, sad sad!

Take care, God Bless & remember that sometimes things will not go the way you want them to, but don't be discouraged wait on the Lord and he will help you!

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
