Engagement!

*wedding bells ringing* and here comes the bride!!! :)

Hello my wonderful readers!

It has been a very very long time since I have posted anything on my behalf! No worries, I'm back from Puerto Rico! It was so much fun! I had a wonderful time getting to know all of the people on the beautiful island, as well as looking at all the creative outfits the girls were rockin'.

Puerto Rico is definitely a place to visit for vacation. ;) Anyway, something really exciting happened while I was there...one of my girls got ENGAGED to a very lucky man! ;) Luckily, I was able to have the honor to do a hair and heel makeover. It was hot but so worth it. LOL.

I started out with the hair...She had NEVER curled her hair before in her WHOLE life! O.o (yeah, that was my look too when I found out. hehehehe) On top of that, she never really accessorized her hair much either.

So...ladies, I always believe you should try different styles even if it feels funny. It's all about exploring and having fun with it. ;) I'm glad she trusted me enough to curl her hair!

Then I asked her about her outfit...it was fierce RED with a small black jacket to cover the arms and back, just in case you haven't noticed we stay modest! ;) When I saw her dress I was like HOT MOMMA!!! Then I asked about the shoes...I don't even remember if she responded, because a light bulb went off...I tend to build the outfit in my head and block everything else out. LOL.

I got excited and I asked for her shoe size...luckily, I had gone shopping in Puerto Rico a few days before & purchased some fierce red heels with overlapping black lace & they were her size!!! (They weren't even expensive heels either, which was a plus!) Ladies, always explore stores in another country/location/city/state, because they are NEVER the same products, even if you see the same stores.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet the lovely and newly engaged Neila! ;) <3

and the final result of the hair is the following:

Congratulations Neila,  you look darling! ;)

Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment! It's good to be back!

Love,
D

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
