Facing Fashion ;)

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I am excited to be back! I wanted to give you all a few tips for caring for your face. It's important to care for your face like you care for your outfits! :) Lately, I have been sharing these few tips with friends and family, and I think you all would really benefit from it...YES, EVEN guys need these tips! ;)

It is very important for everyone to take time to really care for their face. I know some people suffer from different kinds of skin conditions, so be cautious with choosing your face products.

I tend to have a semi-oily face with some acne here and there. Usually, I only get acne when I eat peanut butter and chocolate (they say chocolate doesn't cause acne, but in my case there is a STRONG correlation. UNFORTUNATELY because I'm a chocolate LOVER). So these would be great tips for anyone with my skin type. However, it is recommended for EVERYONE to clean, tone, & moisturize.

I use the following for my morning routine:
1.daily face cleanser-Mary Kay 3-in-1 cleanser

2.toner & cotton balls- Neutrogena Alcohol Free toner

3.daily moisturizer-Mary Kay Age Fighting Moisturizer

4. Face sunscreen -Mary Kay sunscreen spf 25

You want to use those products in that order. It's important to wear daily spf to prevent sun damage to your face and prevent wrinkles. I actually got the Mary Kay products for free, so I can't give you a price but the package should look like this:

I do the same routine before going to bed but I use them in the following order:
1.Cleanser
2.toner
3.Night Gel (the small Mary Kay clear bottle with beads)
4. Age-fighting moisturizer
5. & to top it off I use Petroleum Jelly on my lashes. (It's supposed to help with preventing lashes from falling out and keeps them strong and healthy!) *be careful not to get it into your eyes.

I would really recommend all of these products. They leave your face feeling amazing! Oh, remember to ALWAYS brush and floss for a wonderful smile as well! ;) hehehehe

Finally, here is wonderful video on home remedies for acne & dark spots. Just in case you have found no solution. http://youtu.be/pO9OnchuPEU
Remember your face is just as important as your fashion! Face fashion looking flawless! ;)

(Excuse the hair out of place LOL)

*use these face products with caution and make sure to consult with your dermatologist (if any). If you feel any discomfort...STOP using it and ask a doctor.*

Thanks for reading loves! Have a blessed weekend & feel free to share! ;)

Love,
D

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
