Fashion Fall Trends 2013

Hello beautiful ladies & handsome gentlemen,
I started this post on Monday.  However, it's been an extremely busy week for me at work. At any rate, I wanted to share the new fall trends that have come out since fashion week. I am a strong believer in being modest, but I'm also a strong believer in a sense of fashion. There is a huge difference...

I actually did not know about the trends until I started looking for my new black leather jacket like 2 days ago. However, I was able to welcome fall with the new trends, and no clue about fashion week trends!

For those of you who do not know when fall began, the first day of fall was last Sunday. I have shared this on our Instagram profile (@ddspurebliss), but here is the outfit I wore to welcome Fall!
Chiffon beige skirt with a Charcoal Black blazer, an emerald top, and my black shiny Ann Taylor heels...

Luckily, the blazer and the emerald top are two of the new fall trends for 2013, which I did not know until two days ago.

So ladies if you're wondering what you need to purchase these are two of the main things. Most of it you will probably already have in your closet, so don't spend too much! I was actually surprised with the trends for the fall of 2013, since they were trends for a while. You can find the trends below:

1.)  Black leather jackets and pretty much any other leather items, just don't wear a full leather on leather outfit...

2.) Blazers

3.) Emerald Green and Maroon/Wine colored clothing

4.) Color Blocking

5.) Finally, prints and leopard.
There are many more, but they did not draw my interest, so if you would like to see more visit this website: http://www.glamour.com/fashion/2013/02/the-dos-and-donts-of-fall-2013-fashion-trends

*note: I am not promoting revealing clothing in any way, just showing you samples of how to use the colors. Use your imagination, when trying to find modest clothing that will do the trick. ;)

I hope this was helpful for some of the more fashionista Chicas! ;) I will be spending the weekend looking for my beautiful black leather jacket, tan leather jacket, a new Jean jacket (gave my favorite one away last year, pooey), flats, and workout clothes! So excited! Let's see what I find! (^.^)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Be safe and blessed!
Love,
D

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...

Quick Lil Tips

Hi! God Bless Everyone! Hope all is well! Remember back a few months when I told you about the uses for Coconut Oil?! Coconut Oil as Face Moisturizer Well, I tried the coconut oil and I tried it on my face as a moisturizer. It works very well with my skin. My skin is oily so I thought my face was going to look like straight up oil BUT it didn't ;) Also, I had a few bumps around my nose/upper lip area because I went and got it waxed along with my eyebrows and chin LOL! Obviously my skin is not made for that so I won't be doing that again...well, I won't be waxing near my nose/lip area... NO NO NO! Because it has anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial functions I decided to try it out around the nose/lip area and guess what? That allergic reaction I had to the waxing is gone :) YAY! I also use a topical cream on my face that dries my skin out but because I use the Coconot Oil on my face, my face doesn't peel anymore! Another thing I noticed about using coconut ...
