I wanted to try the In Styler really bad so my wonderful husband bought me the Wet to Dry In Styler last week. I was so excited that I tried it the next day with my hair pretty damp. Let's face it, we know that it's not good to use a flat iron on wet hair because it causes more damage. Nonetheless, I tried it! I didn't like it at ALL! NO! NO! NO! My hair was not straight and it was frizzy like never before. I returned it about 2 days later. I guess the In Styler works better on dry hair and even better if you want to style it with curls-or what not. My hair is thick and very wavy and already very frizzy so this In Styler made it so much worse. Think of the movies where a girl is electrocuted and imagine her hair all frizzy and just sticking up every where. That was ME! That girl! I'm glad only my husband saw me & he sure did get a kick out of it. I was furious!

So, I went back to my One 'n Only. I had it before & I went back to it again. I love the One 'n Only Brazilian Tech Keratin Flat Iron. "The One 'n Only Brazilian Tech Keratin Flat Iron is a professional hair straightener with titanium plates that infused with keratin, a deep-penetrating protein, for superior straightening results." (Sally Beauty On-line description). That's right girls this is what it's all about :) Not only does it straighten hair but it keeps it smooth, frizz-free, shiny, soft & manageable. I also use Argan Oil spray:
  • Hydrates, conditions & smooths the cuticle
  • Eliminates frizz and is humidity resistant
  • Provides thermal protection
  • Provides color protection
One 'n Only Argan Oil Spray Treatment is a lightweight, alcohol-free, non-greasy formula that provides instant shine without leaving an oily residue.
This spray helps seal in moisture, conditions and smooths the cuticle to help eliminate frizz and repair dry, damaged hair. It provides thermal protection while reducing drying time, and protects hair color as well. (Sally Beauty On-line).
I just started using this spray and I really like it. It has a so-so (good) smell to it. It's very light. I spray my hair when wet and then I spray it again right before straightening my hair :) Leaves it MARVELOUS lol!

I love the way the One 'n Only flat iron and Argan Oil spray work together. It is awesome!
I'm not sure if I will every try the In Styler again but I'm definitely going to stick to the my One 'n Only ;)
Thank you for reading about the newest member of the family of hair styling tools ;o

Have a wonderful day and God Bless!
Luv,
D2

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
