Make Me Chic Fall/Winter Wedge Boots Review!!!

Happy Tuesday my lovely readers!

I'm so excited to be back! Finally, I have finished all of my Christmas shopping...

Quick funny story: I ordered some boots from MakeMeChic.com (thanks to D2), and they were supposed to arrive one day after Thanksgiving. As you know from my last post, I was in Florida. I always have my packages to my mother's house, since someone is home most of the time and I'm never home. lol. Normally, she tells me when I receive any package...well for some reason, she didn't tell me. When I checked my email, I received the shipment confirmation a week ago!!! I freaked out thinking someone had stolen my wedge boots!

Immediately, I texted my mom. She had the package at home, but forgot to mention it to me. :O! Talk about freaking out a shoe-a-holic! LOL.

So, I wanted to review the boots that I ordered from www.makemechic.com. I ordered two different colors but the same style. Yes, I'm THAT girl...when I love a product, I get the same product but in different colors. lol.

The first pair is a Cognac/Tan color, which matched perfectly with my leather jacket from Charlotte Russe & the second pair was a nice leather black:

Review: The colors are very accurate (as seen in photo). They keep your feet very WARM and cozy. The wedges aren't very big, which I didn't expect based on the pictures.  However, it's a good low wedge, and very comfortable to walk in.

Unfortunately, the zipper (which was the whole reason I ordered these particular boots) does not actually zipper up and down. The zipper is there only for fashion purposes. That was my MAJOR disappointment. Why have a zipper if you can't use it??? So, these are actually slip on boots, which I can live with for now. They fit very snug, which I love. I don't like the slouchy boot look. It's just not my cup of tea.

Funny brain fart moment: I couldn't figure out how to take off the boot once I put it on. LOL. I looked like a 3 year old trying to take off their shoes. Boy... was I frustrated. Quite embarrassing actually. I almost recruited my sister to help me slip the boot off, which wouldn't have been a problem if the zipper actually served it's purpose. LOL! Finally, I figured out the trick, you have to WIGGLE your foot out of the boot. lol. It took me about 3 tries, but I got it & with more practice I'll be a PRO!

Overall: I give these wedges a 8 out of 10. I really do love them. I've actually worn both pairs since their arrival into my hands. lol. I would definitely order from makemechic.com again...just...maybe not BOOTS. lol. :)

They are having 35% off which ends Thursday, December 12th with the code: GIFT35

GO! GO! GO! & Happy Shopping my lovely people! :) <3 Have a blessed day!
Love,
D

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
