Inkka Shoes - Lima, Peru

Happy Monday ladies and gentlemen,

I hope you are all doing well! :) I have been wanting to share a pair of sneakers that I discovered in NYC. I was out shopping with a friend, when we stumbled across Inkka sneakers. In my opinion, they were super cute, unique, and very trendy.

Although I'm not a HUGE sneaker person, I will purchase a pair every now and then. I believe my attraction to these sneakers comes from traveling to Peru and Africa, which had many items with a similar pattern as these sneakers. However, the store did not have women shoes in my size with the same color as the male shoes, so I didn't purchase any this time. My friend did purchase some INKKA sneakers, and I was super jello! JK. I thought they were fabulous!!! If only they had that sneaker in stock for females, I would have totally purchased that pair as well.

Here are some samples of Inkka shoes:
I know they look loud in these pictures, but in person they are really adorable. Besides, tribal wear is totally in right now. ;) I love these high tops! When I got back to South Carolina, I decided to do more research on the shoes.

They were post worthy, and I wanted to see where anyone could purchase these shoes. That's when I found out they were for a very beautiful cause: http://eu.inkkas.com/pages/our-story, and they were made in Lima, Peru!!! (Hey, I've been there!) Not only do they provide work for the local community, they contribute philanthropically to the Amazon Basin.

Recently, they decided to launch the « One Shoe One Tree » project ; a partnership with Trees for The Future that engage the company to plant one tree for every pair of shoes that they sell.  (It's amazing to see someone cares about God's beautiful creation...our world.)

Of course, when I searched for people who had paired these up with an outfit I found that not very many people can rock this look, but it's worth a try if you're very experimental & trendy with your fashion. For my gentlemen, see below:

Feel free to visit their website http://www.inkkas.com/! They really are just so adorable, and I would imagine very comfortable. Who says your feet have to suffer ALL the time for Fashion?

Have a blessed day! <3
Love,
D

P.S. Like Inkka...Stand for what you believe is right, even if you're the ONLY one standing!

    1. Hi Pia! :) We have contacted the company to see if there were any Inkkas sold locally. Unfortunately, they do not sell the shoes in Peru. They let us know that they only produce them in Lima, Peru, but they did not tell us the location. Sorry! Maybe you could purchase from their online store? www.inkka.com.

Feelin' Blue?

Hi loves,  I was feeling a little "blue" today, so I thought I would get in touch with a little bit of my happiness...YOU LOVELY PEOPLE & FASHION.  This photo shoot took place about a month ago, but it just happened to be convenient for today. hehehe.  While this color of blue is a very much used during the spring time, I am a firm believer colors are meant to be worn at all times. It just take a little more effort to "make it work."  As I've stated before, these are my favorite heels. So, please excuse them for appearing more than once. LOL. They just love to be seen! jk. At any rate, you can always change an outfit by changing one simple thing about it. As you will see in the next set of pictures, a simple yet loud closed toe pump really does change the look.  The closed toed pump really matures the look. For example, I would totally wear this to work with a closed-toe pump (let's be real...I would wear either loo...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...
