Old Navy

Hello Everyone!
Hope you guys are doing well today... TGIF!!! :)

So, I've been on the prowl to find a good, nice, cheap and comfy white blazer and let me tell you...it's been tough. I have been on so many websites trying to find the perfect one. I thought I had found the right one on Nordstrom and I was sooo WRONG! I showed it to D and she can tell you about it. OMG, that thing was see-through, it was really light (which wasn't too bad-for summer), it wasn't heavy at all. It seemed more like a blouse type of blazer than a real blazer...you know what I mean?! Never in my life have I ever! LOL!
Ok, so I continued to shop and of course I returned the see-through thang! ;) I found another on Wet Seal and it was actually pretty nice but it was more of a cardigan type of material but I figured that would work UNTIL my husband said it was a bit too snug. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to button it. By the way guys, I'm usually a Medium so that was the size I purchased. I went ahead and purchased another blazer from the same place and this time I got a L since the M was too snug the first time. Well guess what?! the L was a little tiny bit loose but oh well. I have both of them bc I can't return them since they were Clearance items. I probably paid about $26 for both of them so that's not too bad. Plus, I can use them as gifts for Christmas time..hehehe! Gotta be one step ahead girls! I'm still debating whether I want to keep them for myself hehehe! (I'm going to try to remember to take pics of the 2 blazers I have so you can see them for yourselves) :)
If you know of a place that sells awesome blazers for a great price please comment below so I can check them out! Thank You!!!!!

But enough of that...I also bought me this really nice dress at Old Navy.
The dress is a cotton dress so it's very clingy, light and flowy. Be careful with this dress ladies bc it will cling to every part of your body and you'll really see your "figure" fo sho with this dress LOL! Everything POPS out. My husband said I can only wear it in our bedroom hehehe... I'm trying to find a blazer that is long enough if you know what I mean ;) As you can see below, it comes with a belt that can give it a nice touch and look. I like this dress because if you want to be dressy or casual you can do both with this :) depending on what you wear it with...like a blazer!! It's very comfy and also very long so if you're short be prepared to wear HIGH heels with this dress or you're going to have to get it hemmed up. I'm just going to wear it with some high wedges, hahaha. Oh, and let me tell you that I bought a Small even though I'm usually a Medium bc Old Navy sizes usually run bigger. It fits great! Old Navy has really nice dresses right now and they're not expensive. To be honest with you, some dresses look better when you see them in the store than when you see the pic online.

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
