Good Deals!!!

God Bless Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well.
I saw where D asked everyone to keep me in their prayers a few weeks ago. Thank you so much for your prayers....I lost my grandma a month ago today! It hit me pretty hard especially because she lived in Guatemala and I really wanted to go see her one last time :( Unfortunately only my dad could go (it was his mom who passed away). So far I'm doing good...praying to God for strength :) The most amazing thing about this; though, is that she invited Christ into her heart as her Savior before leaving this earth. I'm sooo Grateful to God for this amazing Victory :) Glory Be To GOD!

So, this is the reason why you haven't heard from me in a while...sorry my peeps!
G by GUESS Women's Henzie Platform Wedge Sandals

On a good note: I will fill you in on my recent purchases.
I got a really good deal at TJ Maxx. One of my co-workers sent me a text letting me know that TJ Maxx had this sandal on sale for $15. I checked to see if it was selling online and I found it on Ebay for $59.99. This sandal is the Henzie platform sandal by Guess. I didn't really like it at first but when I tried the shoe I changed my mind :) You know how that happens?! It is a very comfortable shoe...believe it or not! It has a zipper on the back  by the heel but it also has a buckle that you can adjust...I thought that was neat :) because you know that some shoes have a zipper that works but the buckle doesn't work OR a buckle that works but a zipper that doesn't...Crazy..I know! I've worn this shoe to go out with my husband for a whole day and my feet haven't been in pain. That's what I'm talking about :P

The following dress I got at Ross for $12.
I wanted a chevron dress or skirt for the longest time and I finally got it :) for a good price. It's very comfortable, light and my favorite part about it is the sleeves. It's so hard to find dresses with sleeves?! I'm so glad I don't have to worry about wearing a cardigan or blazer over it...at least not right now ;) It sounds like a good idea for winter though..hmmm. Anyway, the dress is up to about my ankles and the neckline is kind of a boat neck. The dress looks red but I think it's corral. Either way, I like it a lot! The belt didn't come with the dress I bought it separately.

This wonderful belt stretches but I don't want to stretch it out too much LOL! Originally I wanted an all nude colored belt for this dress but when I tried this combo on I loved it! I also wanted nude shoes but the above shoes looked so good with this dress. The belt is from Old Navy and it was on sale for about $4.98.

As you can see I got all this for under $35 including taxes! Isn't this AWESOME?! This is an outfit that I have worn for work and I have received compliments ;) I haven't worn this for church yet...but I will...eventually :)

Please keep my family and especially me in your prayers. Thank you.

Have a Blessed Weekend!
Luv,
D2

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
