Ladies with Curves - Can't find clothes your size?

Happy New Year loves!

So late...I know. lol. Better late than never right? I'm finally glad to be over my sickness, and get back to blogging. We have all been busy over the holidays with eating, family, more eating, gifts, and more eating. LOL. I hope each of you had a wonderful time with your loved ones.

Well, let's move onto today's topic. A few months ago, we had someone ask about skirts for more 'curvy' women. If you're a latina like me, you tend to have CURVES. Ladies, you already know we are genetically built that way. LOL. It's rare to see a Spanish female without hips or curves.

Apparently, it's a good thing...but I beg to differ. In my opinion, it means I will never be able to fit my hips into a size 0. LOL. jk, I wouldn't want to be that thin (no offense to my thin chicas). However, 'curves' make it difficult for us to find clothing that will fit or flatter the figure without drawing too much attention to "our insecurities." hahaha.

Then there's the curvy and thick ladies, who have an even harder time...I feel your pain ladies. LOL. You're every man's "dream" (according to media), but it's hard to look cute when your wardrobe is limited.

Well fear no more! I've found some sites for you to visit! Although, they aren't many, they are a start until bigger branches start to expand their available sizes.

I know for a fact stores like FOREVER21 have added a plus size section to their website. Here are a few others (the link will lead you to the plus size section):

JCPenny

Avenue

Roaman's

Happy Shopping my 'curvy' ladies! As soon as I know if more places, I will keep you updated! Have a blessed Wednesday! :) <3
Love,
D

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
