RED, WHITE, BLUE & HOT PINK!

HI LOVES,

I hope each of you are enjoying your Memorial Day. I'd like to take a moment to remember and thank all of our brave soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives for our country.

We live in a country, where we are free to express who we are. In my case, I like to express myself through beauty, fashion, writing, art, etc. I'd like to think of this outfit as very patriotic (minus the hot pink, but what a great color to add to our flag, right? LOL, jk).

I did not plan this outfit on purpose. I did this photo shoot about a month ago, and I finally got around to making all of my edits (come one, we all do it. LOL). My sister and I decided to do this photoshoot in downtown Ocala, which has very interesting spots. I had a lot of fun climbing building stairwells in heels. HAHAHA. I tend of laugh/smile a lot when I'm super nervous or scared. So, you can call this my scared smile. LOL. We had a couple of life-threatening moments on this particular building. The things we do for a good photo...LOL.

The skirt is from FOREVER 21. One of my very good friends found it on our mini shopping spree in Orlando. Ladies, check out FOREVER21. Clearly, she knows me very well to know that I LOVE COLOR. The perfect shopping girlfriend ever...LOL.

My shirt is just a bright red button up shirt. I brought that one down from South Carolina, but I don't remember where I got it. It's probably just an old shirt. LOL. While it might seem like there is a lot of color going on, I like to GO BIG OR GO HOME! The clash of colors just makes is more interesting. <3 ;) ***Careful with the wind tho! hahahaha. ***

I used a darker tone of color on the belt to give more of a definition. The belt can be found just about anywhere. It's more of a royal blue tone. The shoes are from JUSTFAB, and my FAVORITE pair of heels.

The clutch is from a store in Kissimmee, FL called Discovery Clothing Company. Unfortunately, they do not have a website, but if you're ever in the area...you should totally stop by. They have affordable trendy clothing. Thank you to my ladies in Orlando for introducing me to this store. They always have my back! ;)

So ladies, don't be scared to be your own canvas! Express yourself! I hope this helps spike a little bit of an idea for the summer. It's going to be a very HOT summer, but let's make the most of it. GO BIG OR GO HOME! <3 Remember, you don't have to be old-fashioned to be modest. ;) Thank you for reading and happy shopping!

~God bless you!~

Love,
Dayse

Fast Forward to July 2018...

Hello ladies, Has it really been two years since I've blogged??? I really dropped the ball this time. In my defense, I was off social media for one of those years. You know... the whole "social-media cleanse." Which by the way would have been a total success if I hadn't become a youth leader and needed to promote events. LOL. All for the greater good tho. Wow, I don't even know where to start, so I'll start with I'M SORRY and I've missed blogging! So much has happened since my move to the Sunshine State. Here's a quick overview: 1. I was jobless for two months. 2. By God's grace, I landed a job in Flood Insurance. 3. Found a church home, became a member, and a youth leader and Sunday School teacher(obviously not right away) 5. Found the greatest and most loving church family...I wouldn't replace them for the world 4. Quit my job in Flood Insurance (long story), and started working at an Elementary School as an ESOL Paraprofess...

Thanksgiving: CHECK ...now, Christmas!

Hello my dear readers, I'm so sorry I've been so ghost on all of you! Huge thanks to D2 for keeping you guys updated. :D I have been crazy trying to travel for Thanksgiving, Christmas shopping for a family that my job adopted, and trying to continue planning my upcoming trip to NY...last but not least work. :/ hehehe. At any rate, I know everyone is getting ready to spend quality time with their families over the holidays as well as giving wonderful gifts from the heart. I'm more of a giver than a receiver. I love to think my heart was constructed under the blue print of the heart of Jesus...always giving out of love. I am not saying Christmas should be about gifts, but it's always nice when I can make someone else smile. Definitely take this time to appreciate your loved ones and spend the time that you've missed with them throughout the year. ...AND if you have some EXTRA time on your hands, feel free to reach out to those in real need. We are too blessed ...

"Curly" Straws beautify! :)

Happy Thursday loves, I'm really exhausted today, but I thought one thing would cheer me up...BLOGGING! :) So thanks to the fabulous Divas in my life who research just as much as I do about fashion, here is another trick for your hair. Curls! These are really tight curls, but there are many other tutorials to show you how to loosen them. You will need the following items to accomplish this look: STRAWS, Bobby pins ,  & maybe some hairspray. Yes, you read correctly...Straws! (^.^) No curling iron, no flat iron, no heat...all natural. hehehehe. My older sister actually used this trick on her daughters hair, which is long a beautiful, and it was adorable! Cheap way to make curls...I think it's a WINNER! They really do come out beautiful. Personally, I haven't tried it yet...probably because I'll need a WHOLE BUNCH of straws for my hair, but I think it's worth trying. I'll let you know how mine turn out & feel free to let us know your results ...
